The golf tour was tremendous – the courses were all very good to excellent, the hotels just right and all the transport arrangements worked perfectly, so many thanks to you and your team. Please pass on our thanks also to Italy & Golf, who obviously had everything well under control locally. I contacted them during the tour just to let them know all was going well. We had a couple of soggy days at the end, but the weather cleared enough on both days to let us play and the rest of the time was fine. The golf clubs themselves were uniformly welcoming and accommodating. Their approach was relaxed and professional all at the same time, with the clubhouses a particular delight. We have now been on 18 tours and all of us voted this as one of, if not the, best. There may be better golf courses around (in terms of world rankings) but the overall experience is right up with the best in golf and enjoyment. Italy deserves a higher profile as a golfing destination. Best Regards, |

We wanted to let you both know that we had a wonderful trip to Italy. Everything went like clockwork, the hotels were terrific, drivers always professional and on time. We enjoyed play at all of the golf courses and our daily lunches in the clubhouse.

Thanks to Italy and Golf, I experienced my travel highlight of the year (and I travel a lot, so that’s saying a lot!). There we were, a group of over-excitable golfers being helped with our golf bags into a vintage taxi boat by our to-die-for-handsome Venetian captain.
Then cruising past San Marco and out on the Canal for our afternoon round of golf. That evening we dined on more fresh Adriatic fish than you can shake a golf club at, before being whisked back to the hotel in time for a nightcap, the red sun setting over the lagoon. I felt like a movie star!

We are always looking for something a little different and found it in Italy. My memory of the golf is of well maintained parkland courses, some boasting stunning views. But the over riding memory is of visiting members clubs, not holiday resorts. Leisurely, unpressurised golf and a friendly welcome from people not used to being decended on by touring groups of British golfers and despite the odd language barrier, handling us with great charm.
Electric trollies and golf buggies are not always available in great numbers so need to be pre booked, but we should remember this is not holiday golf as we know it. This is like taking a small society for a days golf at home without the local members bemoaning the fact that visitors are on their golf course - very refreshing!!
