Mr Prussi how long have you been a private chef for clients staying in luxury villas?
I have been a private chef for 5 years now, however I have been in the industy for the past 20.

Is it generally family parties you work for or do you cater for larger events, for example weddings and celebrations?
I do weddings, parties and gala dinners. I organize the whole event, not just the catering, but from the table plans to the flowers and creating the right atmosphere. I also look after families. When a client takes a villa the great thing is to be able to serve traditional dinners to their region or perhaps a gourmet evening based on what the customer asks for on a day-to-day basis.

Which areas do you operate in?
I work especially in Tuscany in Florence but I move anywhere!

Clooney

Everyone knows George Clooney loves Italy. Who knew he enjoyed also Italian golf too?

Since 2001, he's been a regular fixture at the Menaggio & Cardenabbia Golf Club on Lake Como, drinking Cokes in the clubhouse and playing a round with his Hollywood and Italian friends. So familiar is George that no one makes much of a fuss anymore, when he comes riding in on his signature Harley Davidson.

Swooning for Canova

Le_Grazie

You. Michelangelo.

Alone at last.

February 18th, 2014 | | Sistine Chapel early morning VIP access

Sistine_Chapel_Access

Some things are meant to be enjoyed solo. Great masterpieces of art, for example.

After all, how can one grasp the genius of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling, while being jostled on all sides by tourist crowds?

How can one hear its rich visual music, inundated by the sounds of ringing cellphones, gum-chewing, and unfiltered artistic options?

We’re the only tour company that gets you exclusive access to the Sistine Chapel, at 7.45 am before it opens to the rest of the public. After time alone with history’s greatest artist (your expert guide, of course, will also be on hand) you’ll be first into the Vatican Museums for the day, your exclusive VIP No Wait Access pass letting you skip all the lines.

Feast your eyes on the frescoes of Botticelli, Perugini, Pinturicchio, and Ghirlandaio. See the Raphael Rooms, the Laocoon, the Torso, the Tapestries Gallery, and of course, Michelangelo’s Pietà in St. Peter’s Basilica.

Called "one of the best experiences in Rome" by Conde Nast Traveller, early access to the Sistine Chapel is yet another exclusive opportunity, brought to you by your friends at Italy & Golf.
